Privacy Policy
How SmartParking collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use this website or when a parking facility uses our products and services.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hajari Automation (“the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the maker of SmartParking, handles your personal data, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you. It is written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
By using this website or sending an enquiry, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or contact us.
Where a parking operator has a separate written agreement or accepted quotation with us, that agreement applies to facility data alongside this policy.

2. Who decides how data is used
Website visitors and enquiries. For data you share with us directly, for example when you email or WhatsApp us, we decide how it is used and act as the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act.
Facility data. When an Operator deploys SmartParking, that Operator decides which vehicles, staff, visitors, payments and devices are recorded and why. For that data the Operator is the Data Fiduciary and we process it on its behalf as a Data Processor, under our agreement with the Operator. If you park at a facility and have a question about that facility’s records, contact the Operator first. We will help them respond.
3. Data we collect
Data you give us
- Name, business email, phone number and message you send by email or WhatsApp.
- Facility details you choose to include, such as location, hardware already on site, or the operating problem you want to solve.
- Anything else you choose to share when you email us or message us on WhatsApp.
Usage Data
When you browse the website, the hosting server may record Usage Data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time, and diagnostic information.
Parking operations data, where an Operator deploys SmartParking
Depending on the devices and workflows the Operator enables, the Service may process vehicle registration numbers, RFID tag events, entry and exit times, occupancy states, tickets, receipts, payment events and staff exception records. The Operator decides where these are used and is responsible for informing drivers and staff, for example with signs at lanes and camera locations.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Analytics consent (functional). If you accept or reject analytics in the cookie banner, that choice is stored in localStorage on your device.
- Google Analytics 4 (optional). Loads only after an analytics ID is configured and you accept. It may collect Usage Data under Google’s privacy policy.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect Usage Data under its privacy policy.
- Maps. The contact page shows an embedded Google Map. Google may set its own cookies or collect Usage Data under its privacy policy.
You can reject analytics from the banner or clear site data in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but optional analytics will not load if you have rejected them.
5. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations or site assessments.

- To send service or product updates only where you have asked to hear from us. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We process Personal Data on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before a contract, to perform a contract with an Operator, or for a legitimate use permitted by the DPDP Act. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that already happened.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your Personal Data. We share it only as follows:
- With your Operator, where you are a driver, staff member or visitor at a deployed facility and the Operator needs the record to run parking operations.

We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires.
- Website enquiries: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless a contract follows.
- Operator records: for as long as the Operator uses SmartParking, then up to 90 days to allow export, unless the Operator asks us to delete sooner or the law requires us to keep them.
- Server and security logs: up to 24 months.
- ANPR, RFID, occupancy and payment events: for the period set by the Operator, within any limits set by law.
- Financial and tax records: as long as applicable tax and company law requires.
When a period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
8. Where data is stored
This website is a static site. Enquiries you send by email or WhatsApp are stored with those services and with us so we can reply. Facility data for deployed Operators is stored in the environment specified in that Operator’s agreement. Where data is transferred outside India, we take reasonable steps to keep it secure and handled as described here, and we will follow any restrictions the Government of India places on such transfers.
9. Your rights

11. Security
We protect Personal Data with reasonable security practices appropriate to this website and to deployed systems, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) where the production domain is served over TLS, and access limited to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as the law requires.

Do not send a child’s Personal Data by email or WhatsApp. If you believe a child has given us Personal Data without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, contact us and we will remove it.
14. Links to other websites
This website may link to services we do not operate, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and hajari.org. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before using them.
15. Changes to this policy
